What
The role of public relations is constantly evolving and Saxum|PR continues to be on the cutting edge of new and emerging media. In an effort to share valuable information regarding social media, Saxum has partnered with expert Jim Quillen to host the Saxum Social Media Summit from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26 at the Waterford Hotel, 63rd and North Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. The Summit will consist of two sessions:
- Session One (7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.): Why should my organization and I use social media?
- Session Two (9:15 a.m. – 11 a.m.): Social media tools and strategies
Session One
Session One is designed to give an overview of current social media tools and how they can be used to increase your business’ bottom line. Topics include:
- Evolution of communications
- Importance of social media in today’s society
- Opportunities presented by social media
- A business case for social media
Session Two
Session Two will target those who will implement social media strategies for businesses and organizations. This session will dive deeper into social media planning and implementation focusing on:
- Getting started
- Common misunderstandings and pitfalls using social media
- Tools and tracking
About Renzi Stone

In addition, Stone is a member of the executive committee of IPREX, one of the world’s largest international public relations networks.
A former member of the school's basketball team and three-year starter, Stone earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Oklahoma. He, his wife Lee Anne and their son Jackson live in Oklahoma City.

Jim serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Edmond Soccer Club, and also serves as the moderator for and a participating member in the Edmond CEO Roundtable, sponsored by the Edmond Chamber of Commerce. Jim served as Vice President and Controller for Express Services Inc., a $2 billion Oklahoma staffing company, for nine years. Jim resides in Edmond with his wife Dana and three children.
